I've been having that exact same problem with sleep lately! The reason you still feel so tired is because you're probably not hitting REM sleep/deep sleep, which you need to properly recharge your brain. You need to be asleep for a certain straight period of time in order to hit deep sleep, so if your sleep is broken, you won't get it.
